Serious Games goes Multi-player - The UK Serious Games Alliance
TruSim, VEGA Group PLC and Professor Bob Stone at the University of Birmingham have come together to form the Serious Games Alliance, an expert and highly experienced partnership focused on the delivery of affordable interactive 3D training solutions through the application of cutting-edge computer games technology.
The Alliance aims to capture the spirit of engagement and excitement of the entertainment industry and to apply this - using a range of proven techniques and tools - to lifelong learning and technology-based training programmes. These qualities have the ability to improve the speed and quality of the learning experience and so significantly increase an organisation's return on investment in training. The Alliance believes that the time is right to exploit these exciting technologies, as today's younger generation - tomorrow's high-tech employees - are already endowed with relevant skills, fostered through the playing of contemporary computer games.

They are joined by the Department of Electronic, Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Birmingham, who have an international reputation in the science of human factors and interactive media - ensuring that any technology matches the needs and expectations of its end users.
